Professor Mike Barnes
Biography
Professor Mike Barnes MD, FRCP is the UK's foremost expert in medical cannabis. Chair of the Medical Cannabis Clinicians Society (UK) and President of the Cannabis Industry Council (UK), with accreditation in Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine.
For over two decades, he has championed patient access, notably helping introduce Sativex in the early 2000s, authoring a pivotal 2016 report for the UK's All-Party Parliamentary Group on Drug Policy Reform, and creating fundamental legislation for medicinal cannabis.
His lifelong mission is to ensure medical cannabis is accessible to those who need it most.
