Biography
Dra. Valeria Rojas is a general physician (M.D.) with broad clinical experience across primary care, emergency medicine, and hospital settings in Costa Rica. She currently practices at Hospital Metropolitano de Costa Rica, providing family and general medical care across multiple locations.
Her clinical background includes an internal medicine internship in Hematology-Oncology and Infectious Disease at Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis, MN, hospital rotations in Neurosurgery, OB/GYN, Pediatrics & Neonatology, and Cardiothoracic Surgery with the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS), and emergency and primary care experience at Coco Medical Center in Guanacaste, including minor procedures and ambulance coordination for patients requiring advanced care.
She has also provided telemedicine consultations, treating a wide range of conditions with a patient-centered approach. Dra. Rojas holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Universidad de Ciencias Médicas (UCIMED).
